SEATING AND CONCESSION AREAS
Has capacity for up to 20,000 seated or general admission patrons (or a mix of both). The Amphitheatre grass is strictly a vehicle free zone (including forklift and access equipment) without suitable ground protection in place. Pegging is not permitted within the area.
EASTERN / WESTERN CAR PARKS
Used primarily for entry gates and concession stands, the Eastern car park is a v ehicle and pegging friendly area under dry conditions. Partial closures of the Western car park for the installation of infr astructure must be pre-arranged. Also used for entry gates and concession stands, pegging is not permitted in this area.
BACKSTAGE AND ARTIST AREAS
Measuring approximately 60m x 20m, the grassed Artist Area overlooks the picturesque lake and vineyards to the East. Care must be taken when driving in this area to ensure there is no damage to the ground surface. Additionally, whilst pegging is permitted – the pr oximity of structures to underground services must be approved by Venue Management.
At the rear of the staging area is a 60m x 25m har dstand area available for unloading trucks, staging equipment and othe r backstage needs.
Pegging (or disruption to the ground surface) is not permitted in this area.
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT, BUS AND VISITOR PARKING
An approved Traffic Management Plan exists for e vents held at Roche Estate. This plan can be varied depending on the anticipated number of patrons attending the event and the number of car parks r equired.
TRAFFIC CONTRACTOR – Traffic Plan Professionals must be engaged to implement the existing traffic plan.

The bus parking bay is located on the Western side of McDonalds Road. Measuring 250 x 80m, the ar ea can accommodate approximately 140 buses utilising 5 pedestrian loading gates. A n additional 80 buses can be park ed within the Eastern side of the neighbouring Hunter Valley Gardens car park.
Due to the ground surface – the bus parking area must not be used for staging, parking or unloading of articulated vehicles.
BUS CONTRACTOR – Rover Coaches will set-up and supply all signage for this ar ea in line with the existing tr affic plan.

Roche Estate provides over 4000 car spaces (over a third on hardstand), across 6 car parks, in close pr oximity to the venue. VIP and Accessible parking is facilitated on site with appr oximately 250 spots available. Accessing 2 arterial roads, Roche Estate parking provides for a much smoother ingr ess and egress than neighbouring venues.
KEY CONDITIONS OF HIRE
Roche Estate has existing development approval to hold events. Key conditions of this development approval that must be adhered to, include the following:
OPERATING TIMES – Doors must not open earlier than 15:00 and the e vent must conclude by 23:00.
POLICE – User-pay Police must be engaged at a minimum ratio of 1:1000.
SECURITY – Event security must patrol the Hunter Valley Gardens car parks and surrounds.
TICKET SALES – On-site ticket sales must not be promoted. All promotion must refer to pre-paid tickets only.
NOISE – Events must comply with all r equirements of the Roche Estate Noise Impact Assessment.
LIGHTING – All lighting must be designed in such a wa y as to minimise any impact on neighbouring properties / roads.
ACCESSIBILITY – Reasonable provision of access and circulation must be provided in accordance with AS1428.
TOILETS – Flushing toilet and hand wash facilities must be pr ovided at a minimum ratio of 1:75.

Crossroads in the Vines is hosted at Roche Estate and consists of one day, experiential, music festivals throughout the year.
