Australian production company, Unbreakable International, have announced that tattoo superstar Megan Massacre will be joining the lineup of artists for the upcoming global debut season of Bondi Ink.
With one of the biggest ‘tattoo personality’ profiles in the world, Unbreakable’s Managing Director, Kristie Lawrence, said that Megan’s addition to the cast is the biggest success for the series to date.
“(Megan) is not just an incredible artist, but an amazing personality that will bring something extremely fresh and current to the production.
She’s just opened one of New York’s hottest new life style spots as the city’s first ever combined tattoo studio and clothing boutique named Grit N Glory so we are incredibly grateful she was able to take time away from her new business venture to join us this summer.”
The production had originally planned on working with Tommy Montoya of NY Ink fame however, with the addition of Megan to the cast, the production has decided to instead consider Tommy for future seasons while he takes some much needed time off with his young family.
Megan will be arriving in Sydney later in the month to join the cast working with a range of Australian and international clients as a part of the production.
“I can’t wait to get down there, thaw out on the beach and stuck in to some serious tattooing.” “It was a very tough decision for me to take time away from Grit N Glory at such an early stage, but this opportunity was just too good to pass up,” she said.
Filming has now commenced on Bondi Ink, set for distribution through FremantleMedia International later in 2015.
